Kraft Foods is launching price marked packs for Cadbury Picnic and Cadbury Chocos. The on-pack promotion will see the packs marked at 50p, available from the 1 August.
Kraft believes that PMPs can help the price perception of a local store whilst research from HIM says that the majority of shoppers see PMPs as a promotion, with 76% of shoppers buying PMPs some of the time.
Susan Nash, Trade Communications Manager at Kraft Foods, comments: “The latest price marked pack promotion running on a further two Cadbury branded countlines will ensure that retailers can continue to make the most of their confectionery sales, especially as research shows that almost half of shoppers say that a price marked pack would encourage them to switch brands. We hope that the popularity of PMPs will help to increase distribution within the category and in-turn drive value sales.”
